Regulations and grounds for the degree
The law regarding authorised translators
(1231/2007) and the regulation of the Council of State (1232/2007) came into
force on 1 January, 2008. They struck down the law 1148/1988 and the regulation
(626/1989) regarding official translators.
The National Board of Education has approved the
grounds for the authorised translators’ degree that define the language and
translation skills needed in the degree, the skills to function as an
authorised translator as well as the way to prove skills and the basic
justifications of evaluating a degree.
