Regarding fees for audio-visual translations
The fee basis for audiovisual translations (translations and subtitling for TV programs and movies) is a line or a sheet or program minutes.
The translator shall be paid a difficulty supplement, if the translation work includes an exceptional amount of technical, legal or scientific terminology. Also songs, word plays and poem form as well as dialects make the work harder.
The fee shall be higher than usual when the translator must translate from the audio only. Also any additional or particularly urgent work related to the translation of a TV program is paid separately.
As a basis for fees you can use the agreement at Yhtyneet-sopimus (in Finnish).
