Literature translation fees
The literature translations are
usually paid by character amount. According
to the practice prevalent in the industry, the fee unit for character-based
fees is one thousand characters. In this
case, characters mean the characters included in the Unicode standard, which
includes also spaces.
In addition to character fees, the
translations of novels are paid by total fees, secondary fees and sheet fees,
in which the fee unit is a printed sheet of 32,000 characters.
