3. Name of the registerTranslator market
4. The purpose of handling personal data (the purpose of the register)The
Translator market is a part of the Translation Industry Professionals
website at www.kaj.fi. The purpose of the translator register is to
serve the customers searching for a translator/interpreter and the
organisation members who want to give their data for any possible
assignments.
5. Information content in the registerThe
register shall hold basic information about the registered persons for
the purposes of translation and/or interpretation assignments, such as:
- name - address - phone - e-mail - languages and special areas
6. Information sources according to the rulesThe
register responsible shall register that information about the
translator market user that the user him-/herself shall give either by
using the website or by asking to add the information into the register.
7. Cession of information according to the rules and transferring information outside the EU or the European Economic AreaAccording
to the rules, the register shall not cede information to third parties
or outside the EU or EEA. However, the register information can be
publicly seen by Internet users.
8. Principles of protecting the registerThe
translator register information of Translation Industry Professionals
has been saved in the register holder’s system, which is protected with
publication system protection protocols. Accessing the system requires
giving a predetermined user name and password. The system is also
protected with firewalls and by other technical means. The information
included in the register and saved in the system can be accessed only
by certain predetermined register holder’s employees. The registered
persons have access to their own information. Viewing the information
and making searches is possible for any network user. The information
contained in the register is located in locked premises under guard.
9. Prohibition right of the registered personA
registered person has the right to prohibit the register holder from
handling information regarding him/her for the purposes of direct
marketing, remote sales and other direct mailing and marketing and
opinion surveys as well as for person register and genealogy. The
prohibition should be made in writing and directed to the person
responsible for register affairs.
10. Reviewing right of the registered personThe
registered person has the right to review his/her information saved in
the register and also to receive copies of the information should s/he
so wish. The review request should be made in writing and directed to
the person responsible for register affairs. The registered person may
also review and maintain his/her information him-/herself by logging
into the member pages with his/her own user name and password.
11. Correcting informationThe
register holder shall correct, remove or complete any personal data in
the register that is erroneous, unnecessary, incomplete or outdated in
relation to the intended purpose, by the request of the registered
person. The registered person can update his/her contact information,
language combinations and other data through the member pages. The
registered person shall, if necessary, contact the person responsible
for register issues to correct data.
